Take me back to a place I know Where there’s always somebody to hold And carry me to a river that flows With water that can heal the soul I know there’s a place like that out there Maybe it’s lost to me, I fear I could leave tonight, be good and gone On the road by the break of dawn But this crazy life got its claws in me With trouble just as big as the sea I feel like I’m fighting against the tide Running from something deep inside There’s a big white moon Shining down It’s got me all turned around I find myself stuck in place Frightened by the light of day With all my fear and all my pride I’m a man who’s been charged and tried Standing still for standing’s sake Locked in chains that I helped make Take me back to a place I know Where there’s always a chance to grow If I had it all to do again I’d get off this goddamn fence I don’t want to sit here while I die Foolishly howling at the sky There’s a big white moon Shining down It’s got me all turned around

Troubled days, find your way from me And go far, too far to see Well, I was once a lost soul But I’m back now on a path I wanna go Take that pain, and find some comfort But know for sure, there’s always hurt If you want to live and learn Then you have to feel the fire as it burns Feel the fire as it burns You’re gonna face your turn From the day you were born You were gonna feel the fire burn Yeah, feel the fire burn All we are, is in our heads Merely dreams that we keep fed Don’t fear life, or run from death Just fight on ‘til your last breath Troubled days, find your way from me And go far, too far to see Well, I was once a lost soul But I’m back now on a path I wanna go Feel the fire as it burns You’re gonna face your turn From the day we were born We were gonna feel the fire burn Feel the fire burn Feel the fire burn Take that pain, and find some comfort But know for sure, there’s always hurt If you want to live and learn Then you have to feel the fire as it burns You need to feel the fire burn You’re gonna feel the fire burn Feel the fire as it burns

Away 04:09
This empty road That we drive so long Takes us far Away from all we call home This empty house With all its sounds Reminds me Of all I still have not found So take me away from here Please get me so far away from here I’m sure I would be happy there If I just could find myself away from here This broken match That we tried to light Lets me know There’s no more fire in our lives This broken man Well, he still stands He tore it down And pulled it back with his own hands So take me away from here Please get me so far away from here I’m sure I would be happy there If I just could find myself away from here This empty road, that we drive so long

Well, you can keep all of those times I felt alone Or wore that phony smile just for show Well, you know I really tried Yeah, to keep it all inside But you could always see what I was trying to hide Yeah, we all fall down Like a wind-blown shanty town Yes, we all fall down But then we come around Fall down You can search for all the answers in a glass And hope that you get well before the crash It's like waking from a storm Or shaking when it's warm That moment when all you know gets torn Yeah, we all fall down Like kings who lose their crowns Yes, we all fall down But then we come around Fall down If you think you're on your own And sinking like a stone You're always just one call away from home Well, you can hold on to false notions of your life And cut out all bad memories with a knife Well, you can hold out for so long Before accepting that it's wrong To always think you need to be so strong Yeah, we all fall down Like a wind-blown shanty town Yes, we all fall down But then we come around Yeah, we all fall down Like kings who lose their crowns Yes, we all fall down But then we come around Fall down

Road To Ruin 04:25
You were never gonna be that way No, you told all those lies But it doesn’t just go away When you close your eyes You were never gonna take that chance Yeah, we all heard your roar Not strong enough for that stance Or brave enough to lie anymore The road to ruin It’s got no time for your plans On the road to ruin You do the best that you can Ah, this long, long road Filled with ruined men It’s freedom’s prison That’s got you locked up so tight All that’s missing Is your so-called fight This road you’re on is long And, oh, so cold at night How did it go so wrong What you thought was so right? The road to ruin Where nothing’s ever as it seems On the road to ruin You got no ways or means Ah, this long, long road Filled with ruined dreams It was never gonna be this way But there’s no place to hide The only thing that makes you stay Is your tired pride All you want and all you need Well, it’s just yours to find A change might make you bleed But at least you would have tried The road to ruin It’s got no time for your plans On the road to ruin You do the very best you can Ah, this long, long road Filled with ruined men This long road Filled with ruined men

She had it all, but then let it slip away She had it all, until her heart went astray Guess the good was never meant to stay He wanted more than life had provided He wanted more than his share divided Still alone, lost, and blinded We walk around wasting our time Fighting for all we’ll never find It’s such an uphill climb When you‘re heading south on the Northern Line There was a boy who was taught to say amen Became a man who only could pretend Spent his whole life just makin’ amends We look around wasting our time Searching for all we’ll never find It’s such an uphill climb When you’re heading south on the Northern Line There was a girl with a lovely flower dress Became a woman, and just like all the rest Was just a token for him to possess Some days can be unkind Always fighting from behind It’s such a long, hard grind When you’re heading south on the Northern Line

All Right 04:08
You’re not gonna get it all No matter how it falls You only get to take In life what you make So you take those dreams that you have at night And hold on to them with all your might And hope in the end, it’ll be all right If you don’t wanna live this way Well, then why do you stay? You say you wanna love again So, then just begin You only know how to run or fight It leaves you in the darkest light So you hope and pray, that you'll be all right It don’t come easy, life, they say I’ve always heard there’s a better way The choice is ours, to go or stay And live to see another day Searching for the truth Can leave you feeling used We just don't get the time To solve all our crimes But it’s okay, we can can still burn bright And never let our fears take flight And just know in the end, we’ll be all right It’ll be all right, we’ll be all right, now
8.
Long Gone 03:08
If you had to spend time with your lonely thoughts Could you handle all those demons that need to be fought Well, I’ll tell you what I did ‘Cause that's now where I live Yeah, I take more than I forgive Because she’s gone, gone, gone, long gone And I know it’s probably wrong To sing this song About who’s gone, gone, long gone Gone, gone, long gone If you’re still stuck in a web of all that’s young It’s hard to see this time will become ‘once’ Well, I know ‘cause I’ve been there And what’s lost in all those years Is feeling that your path is clear Because it’s gone, gone, gone, long gone So much time I’d counted on Now I just try to be strong About what’s gone, gone, long gone Gone, gone, long gone We can sit around and wait For the key to the gate Or we can grab all that there is And own all our years Before they’re gone, gone, gone, long gone All those times you’ll count on Now, I hope you can be strong About what’s gone, gone, long gone Gone, gone, long gone Gone, gone, gone, long gone
9.
Never Enough 03:23
When I look back on all our days, now I can’t help but wish for more If I only had one hour left I’d probably still knock at your door There’s a time for staying And a time for leaving, too But, there’s never enough time For being with you... Never enough I started more than I’ve ever got done, now It was the best I could do I don’t know what drives me on To bite off more than I chew There’s a time for sleeping And a time for reaching, too But, there’s never enough time For seeing it through Never enough, no never enough When your days are mostly gone, now And you’re all out of plans Remember back to the very start When it was first in your hands There’s a time for living And a time for dying, too But, there’s never enough time When you’re just passing through Never enough No never enough Never enough
10.
End 03:26
Well, I was a man, disguised as a fool Who wouldn’t live by all those rules I couldn’t stop from falling down So I got lost, as you found It was a long, long time ago There were hopes, that I’ve let go It’s not about what’s wrong or right I just had to say, goodnight If this is an end, my friend It’s okay, I’ll be all right ‘Cause that’s when it all begins again You don’t have to hold so tight Just remember, if it starts It will end, my friend Well, I got a story that I share with no one Been writing it since I don’t know when But I’m not afraid to let you in I need to be in someone’s arms again If this is an end, my friend It’s okay, I’ll be all right ‘Cause that’s when it all begins again You don’t have to hold so tight Just remember, if it starts It will end, my friend That was a long, long time ago We had plans, that we’ve let go It’s not about who’s wrong or right We just had to say, goodbye If this is the end, my friend It’s okay, we’ll be all right ‘Cause that’s when it all begins again We don’t have to hold so tight Just remember, if it starts It will end, my friend If this is the end, my friend It’s okay, I'll be all right ‘Cause that’s when it all begins again You don’t have to hold so tight Just remember, that if it starts It will end, and that’s all right, my friend
